Bullying awareness for staff

Bullying is often not identified or ignored with damaging consequences for an organisation.

This training is a half-day focussing on identification, prevention and appropriate response to bullying in the workplace.

Outline

  • What is bullying?
  • Bullying is against the law
  • Who are bullies and victims?
  • What can you do if you are bullied?
  • Video presentation: Employee Awareness and Response 

Purpose

This workshop is designed to increase the skills of staff to identify bullying and respond effectively to it by utilising the supports in the workplace and beyond.

Benefits

By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to:

  • Identify bullying behaviour and distinguish bullying from appropriate management direction and evaluation
  • Act to protect themselves or others when they become aware of bullying in their workplace.

Award

A ‘Certificate of Attendance’ is issued.

Who should attend?

Personal Carers, Nurses, Allied Health, Activity and Lifestyle, Administration, Cleaner, Kitchen and Maintenance staff.
