Advanced level
Outline
This training is a 3 hour session covering in greater depth than the Basic Level training, the five psychological needs, negative care actions and their effect on personhood, positive care actions and how to create a positive social care environment; scheduled visiting. The session will review and utilise the ‘homework’ task given in the Basic level course to deepen learning.
Purpose
To deepen the understanding of participants and assist them to implement a person centred approach to dementia care in their own environments by reviewing ‘homework’ tasks and examining applications of the material above.
