Behaviours of concern

Any behaviour that causes distress or harm to the person or to others

With cognitive impairment or no cognitive impairment sometimes we encounter behaviour that is difficult to manage and causes concern.

The concern is usually that the person is in distress. However, it may be that the person's behaviour is causing concern to the emotional wellbeing or physical safety of others. The "others" may be other residents or family members or staff.

We will come to your place (home or aged care facility) and assess the situation, the needs of the person and those around them and provide you with strategies that may assist in responding well to the person's needs.

We will also provide training as needed either focussed on the particulaar person or with a more general focus.
